Independent Studio Painting Class
Welcome to my Most Popular Painting Class!Consider this scenario.
you are standing in the doorway of a classroom and the first thing you notice is an easel at the front of the room set up with a painting. An Instructor; armed with a brush and defended by a smock is patiently waiting by a second easel as the other people in the room are setting up their painting stations. Obviously you all will be painting in lock step. Now if the above scene does not fill you with excitement; or if it does not inspire that creatively independent streak in you, then I invite you to stop and consider joining my Tucson Independent Studio Class. A class that was specifically designed for those creatively independent folks who want to work on what inspires them at their own pace. |
Now I am not going to tell you that this is the right class for you. After all we both already know you are going to make up your own mind and that is why I created this class. I wanted to create a dynamic learning environment where a small group of Artists could paint together working on subject matter of their own choosing, regardless of their individual skill level. Their only goal being to become better Artists by improving their techniques and skills. The added bonus is you also get to hang out with fun, like minded Artists in a fun supportive environment.
I have gone to Art School for the past 15 years. I have gained more knowledge in one session with you. I have been so inspired by your expertise and knowledge. Your communication are above the best. Great teachers are far and few.
Thank you for a bridge to grow. I will always be grateful. ~A.N.

How it works:
Imagine up to 10 Artists in one room with their own subject matter; each one working to attain their separate goals. Their Instructor (Me) taking the time to stop by each artist and spend time answering questions, giving personal demos, and offering encouragement. All instruction based on each Artists’ personal goals. I have often been told it is like a small group “private art lesson.”
At this point you may find yourself asking what types of Artists’ qualify for this class. This class is open to any Artist no matter their skill level. Whether you paint with acrylics, oils, water based oils, or watercolors; that is fine as well. Whether you use a brush or palette knife to create works of art ranging from realism, impressionism, fantasy, to abstract you may feel that this class is for you. If you do then pick up the brush to register.

Christine, thanks so much for being such a wonderful instructor for beginners. You have taught us so much about brush strokes and blending colors and paying attention to what we are doing. Your encouragement is also part of our success. ~L.R.
Imagine you are sitting at your easel, brush in hand. You look over at your study image and then you confidently turn to your palette and quickly and effortlessly begin to mix colors until you have the proper hue. Then as you boldly begin to apply your new color to the canvas you experience a sense of jubilation. Today is going to be a great painting day!

Supply lists are recommendations. If you are a new painter, do not feel you have to get every color listed. Begin with what you will need for your first painting and slowly add as needed. If you have other loved colors or tools that are not on this list, feel free to bring those as well. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM BRINGING MEDIUMS OR SOLVENTS THAT HAVE TOXIC FUMES, YOU WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO USE THEM IN CLASS.
