APACHE LAKE ART RETREAT
APRIL 15, 16, 17, 18  2018

During the four days, we will explore a variety of limited palettes.  We will paint with a 2-tone "Warm and Cool" palette, a "Primary + white" palette, and a "Pre-mixed Palette".   To support the deep color expression, we  will focus a great deal on the backbone of good art, (Tonal) Value relationships.  We will also concentrate on creating intentional edges, when to blend, use a transition color or make an "Optical" (impressionist) blend.  Christine will demonstrate each day, followed by student painting time with one-on-one instruction. 

Students will have ample time to relax, explore, and enjoy the scenery.  One of our painting days will be spent on a pontoon boat, accessing hard to reach scenic places along the lake.
